The Howard University Center for Accounting Education (CAE): We're About Success! Program is being held at the Washington Dulles Airport Marriott Hotel (45020 Aviation Drive, Dulles, VA) from Monday, June 27, 2016 to Thursday, June 30 2016.
As part of CAE's commitment to creating a program and environment which encourages the success of African Americans in the accounting profession, this program - We're About Success! is considered CAE's flagship. It provides the opportunity for participants to collectively discuss cross-firm challenges along with the choices and opportunities they may encounter in the accounting profession. This annual 4-day program focuses on the young African-American professional with one to three years of experience in the accounting field. CAE hosts approximately 125 selected participants from firms across the United States, and helps them learn essential skills for adjusting to and navigating the high-powered corporate environment.
The NABA Metro DC Chapter will be present at the CAE Reception to encourage program participants to join the ranks of NABA members. NABA will hold its Annual Eastern Region Student Conference from September 24-27, 2015 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The conference will include two and one-half days workshops, seminars and interview sessions, all designed to better prepare minority students for careers in accounting and financial management disciplines.
- August 14: Deadline for requesting a refund of conference registration fee. All refund requests after this date will have a $25 administrative fee deducted.
- August 28: You MUST be registered ONLINE for the conference by this date to ensure you have access to the online RESUME SYSTEM.
